Warmth, humor and a deep appreciation of the complex, intensely personal relationships we all have with food are Sandy Markman¹s trademarks. As a registered dietician, her mantra is “there is no bad food”.  Her method is based on helping people make distinctions between the things they eat every day and the things they eat every once in a while. And her motivation comes from her own success with this exact challenge. In addition to contributing to Simpson Heart and counseling private clients by appointment, one of Sandy¹s most satisfying accomplishments has been her work with patients at NYU Medical Center where she has counseled critically ill individuals on the important role nutrition and food plays in healing. Her other strengths include integrating eating plans with complimentary and alternative therapies, sports nutrition and weight management.
